Gregory Russell Bammel, 60, has pleaded guilty to receiving property stolen from an older Albany woman and will be sentenced on March 21, according to an article in the Albany-El Cerrito Journal.
Bammel claimed to work for the victim when he was arrested in January after police found him with a credit card belonging to the woman, the article says. However, the victim said Bammel didn't have her permission to have or use the card.
Bammel was first scheduled for sentencing on March 7. The process was delayed after a neighbor of the victim testified at that hearing that Bammel had stolen other items from the Albany woman as well, including her wallet and antique model trains, the Journal reported.
