Six-Car Collision on I-80 Slows Westbound Traffic Wednesday Night
Coming home, you may have noticed a slowdown between Buchanan and Gilman streets.
Half a dozen vehicles collided on Interstate 80 just south of Buchanan Street on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m., slowing traffic but causing no apparent major injuries, officials said.
California Highway Patrol spokesman officer Sam Morgan said one woman reported a complaint of neck pain.
Emergency workers, including several from Albany, were on scene, between the Buchanan and Gilman Street exit ramps on westbound I-80, until about 8:30 p.m.

Morgan said, as of Wednesday night, few details were available about what caused the crash, other than "unsafe driving."
Involved vehicles included a silver SUV, a PT Cruiser and a gray pick-up truck.

A description of a hit-and-run vehicle was not available, pending the investigation.
At least one vehicle was towed from the scene.
