Six-Car Collision on I-80 Slows Westbound Traffic Wednesday Night

Coming home, you may have noticed a slowdown between Buchanan and Gilman streets.

Half a dozen vehicles collided on Interstate 80 just south of Buchanan Street on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m., slowing traffic but causing no apparent major injuries, officials said.

California Highway Patrol spokesman officer Sam Morgan said one woman reported a complaint of neck pain.

Emergency workers, including several from Albany, were on scene, between the Buchanan and Gilman Street exit ramps on westbound I-80, until about 8:30 p.m.
