Stylist at Albany Salon Slain in East Oakland

Jennifer "Jessica" Kingeter, 26, attended Albany schools when she was younger. A man with five prior felony convictions has been charged with her murder.

An Oakland man has been charged with the murder of a 26-year-old woman who went to Albany schools as a youth and worked at La Nana Salon and Spa on Solano Avenue.

Jamaal Anthony Prince, 34, was charged Monday with stabbing Jennifer “Jessica” Kingeter in an East Oakland apartment Friday night, according to reports in Berkeleyside and the Oakland Tribune.

The complaint against Prince lists five previous felony convictions, including assault, vandalism and leaving the scene of an accident where there had been an injury or death.

On La Nana's website, Kingeter is listed as a hair stylist and removal specialist.
