Suspect Arrested in Albany Rape Attempt
A 20-year-old Albany man was arrested early this morning, Tuesday, on suspicion of attempted rape after allegedly assaulting a woman on the sidewalk on Talbot Avenue, according to Albany police.
A 20-year-old Albany man was tracked down and arrested early this morning, Tuesday, after assaulting a woman on a sidewalk in Albany, according to Albany police.
Police received a report at 2:08 a.m. that a male had attacked a woman on the sidewalk in the 800 block of Talbot Avenue, said Albany Police Lt. Dan Adams.
Police searched the area and within 20 minutes located and arrested the suspect in the 700 block of Evelyn Avenue, Adams said.
He was booked on suspicion of attempted rape and false imprisonment, Adams said.
