Trial for Raymond Anderson Set for March 25

The trial for Raymond Anderson, who was charged earlier last year with six counts of molestation, will begin later this month.

An Albany man accused of committing sexual offenses against minors is scheduled to go on trial on Monday, March 25.

Raymond Anderson, who was arrested and charged earlier last year with six counts of molestation related to twin girls who lived with him in the 1990s, is scheduled for trial at the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in downtown Oakland, according to Teresa Drenick, Alameda County deputy district attorney.

Anderson appeared in court on Oct. 12 and Oct. 29 for pretrial hearings.

According to the Alameda County Sheriff's Department, Anderson's attorney has filed a motion to set aside information related to Anderson's case.

In June, a judge ruled that the case against Anderson would move forward to trial following the testimony of police officers and both alleged victims.
