Two Albany Police Officers Receive Honors

Officers Chris Beck and Pete O'Connor were recognized for their work in enforcing drunk driving laws.

From an Albany Police Department press release:

Two Albany Police officers were recognized on Wednesday Feb. 6, 2013 at a law enforcement recognition and training seminar in Fremont, CA presented by MADD California and the Alameda County Avoid the 21 Program. The event honors city police officers, California Highway Patrol officers and sheriff’s deputies for their skills in finding, testing and arresting suspected drunk and/or drugged drivers on the roadways of Alameda County.

Following several speakers, including Ms. Donna Black, Regional Coordinator of the California Office of Traffic Safety, Albany Officers Chris Beck and Pete O’Connor each received recognition for their work in enforcing the crime of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) during the campaign year. This is not the first time these officers have received such recognition; both Beck and O’Connor have received similar accolades for their distinguished work in arresting offenders and raising public awareness about the crime of DUI in multiple previous years.
