AT&T Dismisses Suit Against Albany over Cell Phone Antennas

AT&T has dismissed its lawsuit against the City of Albany in connection with the application to put cell phone antennas on the Sunny Side Cafe on Solano Aveune. This dismissal follows the City Council's approval of the antennas on Sept. 3.

AT&T has filed a dismissal of its lawsuit against the City of Albany over the company's application to put cell phone antennas on the Sunny Side Cafe o Solano Avenue, a company representative said today, Thursday.

AT&T filed suit against the city in federal court on Aug. 27 accusing the city of "unreasonable delay" in acting on the application, which was filed on Nov. 30.

The City Council approved the antennas on a close 3-2 vote on Sept. 3. City staff at the time said AT&T would likely withdraw the suit if the council approved the antennas.
