At , we are increasing our readiness efforts all the time thanks to the collaboration, funding and diligence of our PTSA, the Red Cross Club and every member of the community.

Each classroom and office is supplied with emergency backpacks, emergency procedures, evacuation maps and monthly drills designed to help us respond with a sense of calm, efficiency, and cooperation.

To read about disaster preparedness in Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Japanese, Korean, Russian or Vietnamese, here is an excellent website.

As we know, this work is never complete, so let’s continue to be diligent and get ready by planning ahead.

If you have interest or experience in disaster preparedness work and would like to help us continue to build our capacity at Albany High School, please contact Susan Charlip at scharlip@ausdk12.org.
