Hmmm...maybe that Albany Patch story on Sunday wasn't an April Fool's joke after all.

... Uh-huh... Not surprised. Not one bit. Considering the fact that they spent at least 20 minutes of their *last* meeting, debating garbage pick-up at the Bulb... Only to have a "homeless" Albany citizen stand-up, during the public comment period, and answer all that they had *just* been debating... by quoting to them from their(city of Albany's) *own* service agreement with Waste Management. I *did* notice that they hadn't yet posted an agenda for this meeting. I hope they plan to reschedule it for sometime soon... What with the public comment period for the Albany Beach Draft EIR having just ended on the 27th, and all...

According to the City's web site, this meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 17. The City Council meeting was moved to Tuesday due to their usual Monday meeting occurring during Rosh Hashanah. I have to question why the Waterfront Committee is meeting on Monday?

Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn't heard about it before.

So, my take is that the Shoreline Committee GAVE all the 'quality' shoreline away, so they really have zero to manage other than the occasional dumpster at the end of the bulb. This is in the commendable hope that garbage ends up in the dumpster, rather than the bay. Is this about right? We could change their name to the 'dumpster committee' to be more accurate; is this correct?

Tatter Salad, you been chasing too many cars, dude. You're like the dog that barks at everything: lots of woof-woofing on ANY and ALL subjects.

I'll write someone and see if I can find out whether it's Monday or Wednesday. But for now I'm sticking with what's on the city calendar.

And thank YOU for your contribution... but the substance of it evades me.
