Sonny it is not a label. It is a political identification. Just like Conservative, Tea Party is. I do know this the Democrats do not like the term Liberal. They would much prefer Progressive. Well the term Liberal has been used for many years. I choose to use it. It is no more a label than Conservative. It just identifies. Yes I like Benicia very much and also do like the people that live here. Politics plays no part in where I live.

I just checked the 2008 results (http://www.co.solano.ca.us/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?blobid=4536), and, if my calculations are correct, Obama got 65.26% of the Benicia vote in that election. So, he lost about 1.4 percentage points. Countywide, he got 63.2% in 2008 and 63.3% in 2012.

Well guess what Ari I do know what I am talking about. Thank you.

Robert thanks for your view on labels. for myself, I do not mind the term "liberal" I consider myself to be a "conservative liberal" an oxymoron don't you think. But if there is such an animal, I am it. Society must have values and limits , who sets the standards and/or morays, thats where things can get complicated . Great empires fell when they became a society of "do what ever you want, go for it" I stand a little left on some issues and a little right on other issues. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!!

Sonny thanks for your comment. I loved your last line. I also wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and also do enjoy all the Christmas decorations as well. This is a wonderful time of year.
