Walk the Ohlone Greenway with Albany Parks Commission

The walk precedes the commission's March 14 meeting.

City staff will lead a walk along the Ohlone Greenway March 14, just before the Albany Parks and Recreation Commission meets to continue its discussion of future Greenway projects, according to a city announcement. Members of the public are welcome on the walk, which will run from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m.

If you would like to attend the walk, meet at the Community Center, 1249 Marin Ave., a few minutes before 5:45pm. 

At 7 p.m., commission members will meet in the City Hall council chambers, 1000 San Pablo Ave.

The main agenda item is discussion of potential future projects for the Ohlone Greenway once the BART retrofit project is completed.

According to the agenda, "Community members have asked the Commission to consider a new parcourse and a tree orchard along the Ohlone Greenway. Other projects may be desired as the Commission begins the planning process for the Ohlone Greenway."
