Most Expensive and Least Expensive Homes in Albany, from AOL Real Estate News

A home Kains Avenue is going for $425,000, but there are less expensive houses

One of the most expensive homes for sale right now in Albany is an 840-square-foot home that's been on the market about two months.

The two bedroom, one bathroom house at 1058 Kains Ave. is listed at $425,000.

The least expensive Albany home on the AOL real estate site is at 850 Hillside Ave. The home has been on the market about a year and the asking price is $350,000.

The Hillside listing is for a lot, not a home. Patch, have you thought of trying to recruit volunteers to write about things like real estate ? I am sure some agents would be willing to write thoughtful articles to get their names and skills in front of the public. It would make more sense than posting something like this.

Improved cell phone reception on Kains pushed up the value, no doubt, of this little house located within the penumbra of the AT&T cell tower cluster in the back yard of the San Pablo Ave building. Good direct line views of the southside of the tower, now bared of any screening so that one may bathe in the aural glow of the doubled power--the government saw ahead to preclude anyone from raising health issues in siting the towers (like precluding the public from knowing what chemicals are used in fracking). Trust them.

Patch, I too am very disappointed and perplexed by this blurb. It certainly doesn't qualify as an article. Could you take 2 minutes to verify your facts? There is a house on the market for $750,000 a block from me. AOL real estate? Really? You are losing your readership.

where is Emily? The Patch is just a pathetic rag now,,,

I agree. This is one of the worst "articles" (if you call it that) that I have ever seen! Please revoke this author's access!

Numerous condos for sale on Pierce St. Do those not count? The article was pointless filler.

To the readers who pointed out the mistake, thanks for letting us know that one of the properties listed was a vacant lot. We'll work hard to make sure that doesn't happen again.
