AHS Claims NorCal Title in Ocean Sciences Bowl

Five students from Albany High School have won the Northern California regional Ocean Science Bowl and will advance to the national bowl in April, the school announced.

Albany High School's experts in ocean science won the Northern California regional tournament for the National Ocean Sciences Bowl and will compete for the national title in April, the school announced Tuesday.

Here is the announcement from Principal Ted Barone:

"The National Ocean Sciences Bowl Team [Tony Wang, Morgan Chen, Amy Xie, Catherine Li, & Lucas Kampman] won first place this past weekend in the Northern California Regionals and will be participating in the national competition again this year.  That competition will take place in Milwaukee, WI in mid-April.  Go Scientists!!"
