Solano Winter Lighting on the Poles

The Solano Avenue Association and Stroll is preparing to light-up the winter season with its array of LED lighting on the poles of Solano Avenue.

Some quick project details / points:

- The cost is $15,000 ($175 per pole / 85 poles) (Paid for by profits from the Solano Avenue Stroll)

- We have about $800 in merchant donations (much more on that later...)

- We are starting early for a reason. This is an extreme logistical challenge (no electricity on the poles themselves) our goal is to be completely up and running by Halloween (to have all of the kinks worked out, etc.)

- Winter banners will be installed (the "starbursts" that Albany does not find "acceptable") - so Berkeley only (the brown colored poles)

- The lights will be removed in January

- If you have any concerns or questions please contact the Solano Avenue Association (we already know that some of the strings are "too low" on the poles)

** By the way - avoid San Francisco this weekend - it will be a complete mess. Solano Avenue Merchants are standing-by to serve your needs

Thank you for your attention and have a lovely weekend.

(PS: the lighting is being installed by the "Christmas Lighting Pro's" - thechristmaslightpros.com)
