Come and see Albany's very own bicycle race this Sunday, July 17, around Memorial Park. Sponsored by the Berkeley Bicycle Club and promoted by Albany resident John Anner, the is a fast-paced and exciting sprint for cash and prizes. Racers range from beginners to pros, with top speeds approaching 40 mph. Each race lasts about 40 minutes, and the racers whiz by on multiple laps.
There is a kids race at noon, with prizes for all participants, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to support the AHS Mountain Bike Racing Team.
