Join the Codornices Creek Native Planting Party

Come help the Codornices Creek Watershed Council (CCWC) install native plants at a new creek restoration site!!!

This third stage of an on-going restoration project includes an outdoor classroom, is adjacent to a bike path, and represents a unique opportunity to both participate in the initial phase of a restoration project and witness the evolution of a restoration project at the adjacent sections of the creek, restored in 2007 and 2005.

The CCWC will have sheet mulching demonstrations and information on the medicinal, historical, & ecological functions of many of the native plants. Come help us get the plants happily settled in the ground and participate in the first stages in the development of this special space in our community. We will meet at the Creek for two full weekends - February 26-27 and March 12-13, 2011 from 10am-2pm.  Volunteer to help us plant one day or all days! Events will only be cancelled with heavy rains.
