If you are interested in getting together for free core workout, you are invited to join Steve Trutane on Sundays for a fun time in the refreshing air of Albany's Memorial Park.

The workout can best be described as a functional training, core stability, and multisport tune-up. The goal is to build strength, improve performance, and prevent injury in your chosen sport.  All levels welcome, but be sure you have your physician's clearance!

Each workout agenda will include different equipment and movements that will vary from week-to-week to keep things interesting, but it is guaranteed to be under 1 hour, safe and fun!  

Triathletes are especially welcome. We'll help get you tuned up for the Albany Triathlon on September 29, 2012.

I moved the time from 7am to 8am for the Nov & Dec workouts which fall near holidays (allows for more sleep-in time). As we head into the new year, I'm interested in feedback on workout day/time/location preferences from anyone considering joining in. Could shift to a weekend day or lunchtime slot. Comment here or via email (address above).

The day has officially been moved to the 4th Saturday of each month at 8am -- should be more convenient. Come out and give it a try!

Based on additional feedback, the day is now the 4th Sunday of the month at 4pm. The park can be pretty lively at this time (esp. with all the Spring-like weather we've been having) but the slab area I like to use for the workout (near Portland Ave) is usually unoccupied.

As of March, I'm doing the workout EVERY SUNDAY -- no need to check the calendar! However, the 4th Sunday will be more special than the other Sundays, when I'll haul out more equipment. Time: 4pm, but is subject to occasional change based on my availability.
