Earlier this month, longtime Albany resident (and current school board member) Allan Maris shared these thoughts about the upcoming , to fight cancer, which will be held in Albany from Aug. 27-28:

As a former Relay for Life team captain for several years in the past, I best enjoyed meeting and talking with other team volunteers, youth, parents, seniors, teachers, school administrators, city leaders, etc.

This is a great community event with music, food, conversation, exercise as well as an opportunity to raise funds to cure cancer and provide services to those who are suffering from cancer.
