More Grist for the Mill

No description necessary, the picture is so fragmented. It would be useless to describe it, more wasted words.

I see Albany has a farmers market on Wednesdays, clogging up Solano and San Pablo. The Buchanan medians are often worked on, and I never get to work on time. I see BART is all torn up, has been for as long as I can remember. The detours are so worn, who needs signs anymore?

We get our news from the internet now, no upper fold headlines. Patch sends me up-to-the-second news alerts on such topics as "Assault and Battery - Girls Only". They are —something about sewers. Has that street ever been clear?

Will we ever get a Whole Foods with its nutritious vegetables only slightly altered with occasional exotic genes so the food doesn't spoil for the entire summer? We have come a long way from fresh produce picked from the backyard garden this very morning. Food is bound to cost more for the fused gene or lack of any chemical used. Now is the time for ladies to smoke Virginia Slims.

The creeks are overgrown with Himalayan Blackberry. I wonder when the picking season starts. Don't we really have enough restoration? Do we really want to live like we used to?

I saw one of our homeless early this morning. He wears a helmet, and is very kind and considerate. I just wonder where he goes to the bathroom.

Sometimes when I am thinking like this I just quote Leonard Cohen. He's a good Canadian.
