Bakers, Crafters, Holiday Gift Seekers – Middle School Arts & Craft Fair Wants You

The annual Arts & Crafts Fair at Albany Middle School on Sunday "celebrates arts & crafts, fine local music, & yummy baked goods!" according to the school. The PTA fundraiser goes from noon to 3 p.m.

The annual Arts & Crafts Fair fundraiser Sunday at Albany Middle School promises delicious community-made baked goods and local crafts, as well music by students.

The fair – whose proceeds support PTA programs for the students – takes place Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon to 3 p.m.

Those who wish to help the fundraiser can do so by bringing baked goods and crafts to sell, and by buying the items being sold. For those buying, it's a chance to find unique holiday gifts and contribute to a good cause at the same time.

"We really need your help to make this fundraiser a success," said a message from Margarita Zamora on the school e-tree. "Last year a large portion of our profit came directly from the sale of baked goods, but we can't do it without your help. We are looking for lots of help from parents and kids. So please help us by baking something yummy.

"Small single serving items such as cookies and cupcakes are best or things that can be quickly cut and served on a napkin like sweet breads, cakes and brownies. If you or your child can donate a baked good, contact me at mzesmaili@gmail.com for more information and to sign up."

Those contributing baked goods can bring them directly to the school on Sunday. The fair opens at noon, but Zamora will be there beginning at 9:30 a.m. setting up and accepting donations.
