Cougars in Volleyball Finals Saturday – Game at Albany High

The match to decide the girls' volleyball champions of the Tri-County Athletic League takes place Saturday night when the Albany High Cougars host the Pilots of St. Joseph Notre Dame.

There'll be high-leaping drama at Albany High School Saturday when the volleyball team takes on Saint Joseph Notre Dame from Alameda for the Tri-County Athletic League championship.

The girls team under coach Roger Worsley won their semi-final match, 3 games to 1, against Salesian Thursday night, following a lopsided victory in three sets against Pinole Valley High on Tuesday.

In a report on the Tuesday game, the Cougar Online said, "As a measure of the Cougar’s dominance, in the third set AHS jumped out to a 20-0 lead before the Spartans got on the scoreboard."

The Cougar's league record is 10-0 with a 20-3 overall performance. The Pilots from St. Joseph have a 7-3 league record and are 27-7 overall.

Saturday night's game begins at 7 p.m.
