<p>Albany City Hall was dedicated in 1966, and houses many city services, from planning and zoning to the Finance Department and a passport desk. The Fire Department, route: {:controller=>"listings", :action=>"show", :id=>"albany-fire-department"} --> and Police Department are located in the same campus. The building was recently renovated to comply with many green building regulations and possesses a solar water system, photovoltaic cells on the roof and sustainable landscaping.</p> <p>The City Council usually meets on the first and third Mondays of each month, alongside meetings from the commissions on Planning & Zoning, and Traffic & Safety.
