The Pacific Southwest Research Station is part of the Forest Services agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It represents the states of California and Hawaii and the U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands. Located in the West Annex Building, its labs research and develop sustainable ecosystems for produce and plants. The agency was established in 1940. Dianna Stouder is presiding director.
