Strawberry Canyon Firetrail

<p>The Strawberry Canyon Firetrail is adjacent to Memorial Stadium on the eastern end of the UC Berkeley campus. It runs along Centenial Road, with an access point a half of a mile up the road on Strawberry Canyon.</p> <p>The seven-mile (round trip) trail is a favorite among denizens and visitors of Berkeley alike. The climb offers a number of challenges for runners, including a steep 30-degree slope called The Connector. It is rated a seven on the difficulty scale, but if one is not acclimated to the Bay Area's slopes, it may feel more like a ten. Those up to the challenge find it's well worth it. With its spectacular views of the Bay Area, hikers otherwise scale it one step at a time, coupled with friendly chat or walking pets.</p>
