Subway Restaurant

One of the most successful food franchises in the country, Subway was started in 1965 by Fred DeLuca, a 17-year-old college freshman, and a family friend, Dr. Peter Buck. It has since grown to include more than 31,000 Subway franchises in more than 90 countries. These days the chain is probably most famous for its lean sub sandwiches, thanks to the Jared ads; however, the menu also includes a number of other subs such as the meatball marinara and the Big Philly Cheesesteak, which we can only assume Jared stayed away from during his years of sandwich-fueled weight loss.
