A few local volunteers who cherish the waterfront started the Adopt the Albany Waterfront and Trail program…More patterned after the Caltrans Adopt A Highway program. </p> <p>The program started in 2007 and is composed of 14 sections of waterfront to be adopted. Seven sections are currently adopted. </p> <p>Multiple sections may be adopted, or sections may be shared. </p> <p>A volunteer may remove trash and perform approved and supervised landscaping once or several times each month.
