Douglas Reil is the associate publisher/managing director at North Atlantic Books/Blue Snake Books/Evolver Editions. North Atlantic Books is a non-profit publisher, founded in 1974, whose mission is to affect planetary consciousness, nurture spiritual and ecological disciplines, disseminate ancient wisdom, and put forth ways to transmute cultural dissonance and violence into service. Doug coordinates the edibles and food initiatives for Transition Albany including garden work parties, skillshare classes, foodshed mapping, and produce sharing. He lives in Albany with his writer wife Robin and their son Cashel.
