About Sylvia

Born in Frankfurt, Germany, right after WWII, so that makes me a boomer babe. Reported about science for UC Office of the President in the 70's and worked for a high-tech startup in the 80s. Started a high-tech women's networking organization, Gracenet, in the 90's, that led a successful campaign to eliminate sexist advertising in tech media. Now host a monthly tech lunch at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley with the Berkeley Startup Cluster (www.berkeleystartupcluster.net/events) and a monthly Last Friday Ladies Lunch at the Hillside Club (www.hillsideclub.org), also in Berkeley. Am a core member of Albany Strollers & Rollers (www.albanystrollroll.org)and on the board of the East Bay Bicycle Coalition (www.ebbc.org), which promotes bicycling for everyday transportation and happiness.

Hi Sylvia. I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:
