New 'Happy Produce' Hopes to Open in 2 Weeks
To those who've seen work going on inside the former Happy Produce market and guessed a new produce market is coming, you're right. The new owner says she hopes to open in about two weeks under the same name, "Happy Produce."
The new owner of the closed "Happy Produce" market on Solano Avenue in Albany said she hopes to open a produce market, under the same name, in about two weeks.
New owner Maria Valencia told Patch on Wednesday that said she still needed to pass the health inspection and finish interior preparations.
Those passing by the space on Solano and Evelyn Avenue in recent weeks may have noticed signs of work in inside.
The former, family-run Happy Produce market closed in June last year after 34 years.
