For the second time in two weeks UC Berkeley has plowed under the weekend plantings of the Occupy the Farm movement on the Gill Tract. This morning, 5/20, at 9am about 15 police and one tractor operator were on the site. There were no protestors present. However Occupy activists had anticipated the University action and deliberately planted seed which they believe will still thrive and sprout even when plowed under. There's been no official response from OTF but last I hear they were planning another weekend action on Memorial Day weekend. Photos of the plowing and the weekend are posted on my Facebook profile .
