What a wonderful evening it was on May 21 for Albany High School’s inaugural outdoor concert. Although it was a bit cool and windy, clothespins held sheet music in place and the bands played to the enjoyment of all. A rousing John Phillips Sousa march got the audience clapping along in rhythm with the orchestra while the youngest fans danced and played soccer around the edges of the crowd.
The Albany Community Foundation is proud to have sponsored this special event by providing the organizational framework, publicity, and funding. We would like to thank Craig Bryant, Director of Instrumental Music at Albany High School and the City of Albany and the Albany Unified School District for their support in this event.
